October 19

Okay everyone, yesterday was the last day of my drops! I am all done for now, but I plan on going again for another round in the next few months. I want to lose about another 50 pounds if possible, but we'll see it how that goes. For now I am just interested in making sure my weight stays off. I've seen a dietician yesterday and they helped me get things in order to keep me on a healthier track. It even includes sugar, which I am really happy about! I love chocolate!

I also got registered for classes at my local CC for winter quarter, too. I'm going to be attending full time there so I can get out of there even sooner. I'm hoping to have a degree within a few years if I can. In the mean time, I have a friend in the nutritional field that has given me some sound advice.

Stay in touch everyone! To all who have contacted me through the blog and sent encouragement, thank you! To those who haven't, it's never too late. Stay in touch and take care for now. Ciao!

October 13

I'm so tired and exhausted, but lost a pound! I spent 3 hours over at Tamara's house last evening. They were doing some aerobics/ball class stuff, but then they started doing some strengthening games and yoga. I've never really tried it before, and it was a bit different, but I liked it. I wasn't very good at all, but I didn't mind the stretches and contemplation that it provoked. It was definitely a nice change and something that was quite new to me. I am thinking that I might try to enroll in a yoga class. But first comes an even greater feat that I am really excited about!

I talked to my hubby last night and he thinks it would be a good idea, too. I am going back to school to pursue a degree in nutrition! I want to actually practice as a nutritionist, and I am so excited to be doing that. I'm not in it for the money or career opportunities or anything, I just feel like I could be making a difference after what I have been through. It think that it may be a challenge, since I am going to promote something that I know is met with some skepticism, but I am proof that it works, and I want to help spread that knowledge.

October 12

I finally dropped to 215 today! I was being really strict with my diet and exercising a lot, too, though. I also went into Radiant--it was just a quick trip since I needed to get back and go to my daughter's soccer game. I've been getting a number of compliments on how good I look, and they have really helped me pull through the last couple of days. It gets really hard when I am trying to stick to the diet really well. I only have another couple weeks, probably, so I just need to hang on. I am going to probably do the program again in a few months, but I have dropped a hundred pounds so far, and that's pretty good for this girl, trust me! I have been doing DDR every day, and that just about kills me because I find it so strenuous. I'm definitely a city girl, and I don't want to work too hard at something, but I also don't want to gain weight again, so that is of top priority for me, of course. I am heading out to Tamara's house in a little bit actually.
I'm just going to grab "dinner" then be out the door. I'll keep ya'll posted, though. Ciao girls!

October 7

Wow! What a day! The carwash went great, but I am so tired! I think I will take a break from writing for the rest of the week because I am completely exhausted and need some R and R. I have a lot of housework to do tomorrow, too. I really don’t feel motivated, and I have been really hungry today and yesterday, but I just have to keep muscling through it. I am at 220 still, but I am not too worried about it. I just assume it is because this is a day I will lose less than a pound, but it will be picked back up tomorrow. Anyway, take care! Ciao!

P.S. Ever notice how my blogging tends to stray away from weight loss to talk about other things? *sigh* Oh well, I’m a busy girl!

October 6

The shopping was splendiferous! I got some of the cutest clothes, and all were on sale. I spend about $250, and I was able to get 14 items. That’s a pretty good deal between Nordstrom and Macy’s. I also went to Ross, and got 2 things there for $15! Here’s some of the stuff I got:
• Fleece Blanket (not exactly clothes, but it was $70% off)
• Denim Skirt
• Sandals
• White Blouse
• Jeans
• Gray Dress Pants
• Raglan Sleeve Jacket
• Semantiks Cuff Slacks (Black)
It was definitely a great day at the store! I now have some more nicely fitting clothes for formal events. Hopefully they will fit for a while, because I really like the jacket and slacks! Anyway… We went out to eat afterward, but before anyone gasps, I stuck to my diet to the letter so be proud of me. =)

After we were done shopping, the group of us heading out to Tamara’s house carpooled for our exercise night. We did some more of the games using medicine balls to strengthen the upper body, and that was fun. I am hoping I won’t be sore again tomorrow, because I am helping my daughter out at a car wash, so I need to be able to work a little. I am not too worried about it though, and if nothing else, it will help me lose more weight. Speaking of which, I am now at 220 give or take a pound. That means I have lost pretty much exactly 100 pounds. Actually, I think it is more like 96, but it’s definitely close enough!

September 30

Now down to 227, which means I lost 6 pounds in about five days. That’s pretty exciting! I went in for a Radiant visit today, so that’s how I actually know. I will have almost lost 100 pounds in about another week and a half, so it’s no time to slow down now. I am really excited about this coming Tuesday, though. The girls and I are planning a girls’ day out in Seattle to do some shopping. The hubby gave me some money to buy new clothes, so I have to hit up Macy’s and Nordstrom to see what I can get for more formal attire now that I can’t fit into any my old dressy clothes. Pretty spiffy if you ask me. We’ve agreed that once I am at my goal weight, which I am hoping is going to be 140, I will go out again and complete my wardrobe. I have a couple boxes of old clothes from about 6 years ago that I have never gotten rid of, either. They fit me again, so I am thrilled to be going down in weight to where I used to be. I’ll update ya’ll on Tuesday with how it went. I am also heading down to Tamara’s house on Tuesday for our weekly aerobics “class.” I went yesterday, and it looks like it will be on Tuesday for a couple weeks.

September 25

It’s been a good day, but a tiring one. I went down to the salon with the girls to see what was going on before heading over to Tamara’s house for aerobics. They were closing in five minutes, and said they were coming, too, so we carpooled over. Tamara had something different going on tonight, though. We did some aerobics first for 10 minutes, but then we used medicine balls in a series of games to help strengthen the upper body. It was actually fun, but different to me. I am definitely a little sore tonight, but between DDR and Tamara, I think I will be able to pull off a little more weight loss. I weighed myself tonight at 233, so a pound a day. Ciao girls!
